UNIVERSITY STUDENT AND FACULTY AWARDS
The Global Indian Business Council takes great pride in recognizing the tradition of world-class excellence established by students of Indian origin (defined as Indian / Indian-American / Indian-xxxx from any country) in the U.S University system. We present a very small sample: awards of which we are informed, since GIBC was established in April 2014. Examples for now are limited to national and international scholarships and awards, competition wins at the regional level and above. Each faculty member or student is invited to send in their news item (as defined above) along with a link to their own website/facebook page other source for more detailed information. You can send in news items on accomplishments of your Indian origin students, faculty or peers, provided there is a public link (organization's announcement for instance) to verify that the item is publishable. Other items (state awards for instance) can be considered, consistent with scope and mission considerations. All publication is at the discretion of GIBC. While K-12 students' achievements are proudly reported by local/ community news media, we have no comparable mechanism for college students (undergrad or grad), nor for faculty.
This is to help build awareness and pride in the community and beyond. It also helps connect students, faculty and community/business leaders. There is no cost and no money involved; just possible fame and the bonus of recognition among the business community. Our website is seen by business people, professionals and diplomats.
